In order that we can support a new client effectively from day one, we normally require an audit of the network and computer systems to be carried out. Documentation is then produced detailing all the technical information required, and this can then be accessed at any time so that on-going support can be achieved more effectively.

Examples of details reviewed are as follows:

–    Network devices (switches, routers) & cabling

–    Servers

–    Workstations

    Peripheral devices (printers and scanners)

   Software (operating systems, applications and network services)

Any recommended changes or improvements to the network or systems are detailed in the documentation, and these will include both short term and longer term developments. Once agreed any of these can be implemented to start the process of moving towards a more efficient and reliable I.T. infrastructure.
